The Occupants have been writing and performing together since 2002 (although there are rumors of the band from before this). A direct descendent from their scattered, individual paths in music (Oblivion Grin, Shackleton, etc.,), the group uses dyslexic chord progressions framed by melodic acoustic and electric instruments, lightly frosted with creepy harmonies . With flavors of retro and modern rock, blended with a lack of concern for prevailing pop trends,The Occupants' tales of emotional, and psychological round-abouts convey good old-fashioned fun, and helplessness.

     Currently The Occupants are working on their debut self produced release. This will be out (we hope), in time for later.

    The group is currently held up in their massive compound on the edge of Raleigh, rehearsing, recording, drinking, and generally making a mess.
